The Lyons Lions varsity football team defeated South Seneca 30-6 in Ovid on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.Lyons quarterback Nick Fera threw for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Nick Kehoe rushed for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dion Tarver carried the ball 10 times for 84 yards and a TD.For South Seneca, Marshall Warden snared two interceptions while Luke McIntosh brought down 12 Lions ball carriers. Nick Wyckoff added two sacks.Lyons (1-0), will host Midlakes next on Friday night while South Seneca (0-1) will travel to face Red Jacket on Saturday afternoon.
