Big 2nd half carries Mynderse over Whitman

Marcus Whitman scored late in the second half and converted a 2-point conversion to give the Wildcats a 16-14 lead heading into halftime in Seneca Falls Friday night. But the Blue Devils would dominate the second half of play before a huge crowd at Bracht Field to roll to a 33-16 win on opening night in Section V Football.Mynderse senior quarterback Liam Caraher threw for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and ran for another score while Scott Kline led the Devils ground attacj with 116 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Ben Cafolla caught 2 passes for 104 yards, one, an 80 yard 2nd half bomb from Caraher for paydirt. Raheem Love added 88 rushing yards and a touchdown while Elijah Prosser caught a touchdown pass.Defensively, Gino Pirozzolo and Chris Plate recorded 9 tackles each as the Blue Devils stout defense kept Whitman in check in the second half.Marcus Whitman was led by Lane Brown who racked up 87 hard fought yards on 20 carries, added 57 more through the air, and scored both of the Wildcats’ touchdowns.
