Penn Yan woman charged after hammer attack

Late last week, Penn Yan police arrested Gina Bergstresser, age 53 of Court Street in Penn Yan, after an investigation into a physical altercation that occurred on August 21st.Bergstresser is alleged to have hit a friend several times with a hammer, damaging property, and refused to leave the residence where the incident occurred,She was charged with harrassment (2nd), criminal mischief (4th), tresspass, and attempted assault (3rd), and will appear in Village Court at a later date.
