On Monday at about 7:05 pm Seneca County Sheriffs Deputies arrested Samantha J. Rousseau, age 30 of 8612 Lodi Covert-Town Line Road in southern Seneca County, on the charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. While on patrol deputies came upon a one year old child who was sitting along the roadway with no one else around. Deputies learned that the child belonged to Rousseau who resided approximately 500 feet away.It is alleged that the child was playing outside with some other kids and had wandered off, Rousseau was inside the house at the time and not supervising the child. Rousseau was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and issued an appearance ticket for the town of Covert court on September 15th at 10:00 am. Child protective services was called and the child was uninjured.
