For 33 straight years the St. Anthony Italian Festival has been held on the Friday through Sunday of Labor Day at the SMS Field in Seneca Falls. It has become an annual rite signaling the end of summer. This year, however, Mother Nature has forced festival organizers to postpone the event until further notice.Heavy rain over the past several days has made it impossible for volunteers and the amusement company contracted to provide rides and some games to get onto the festival grounds and set-up.The Annual St. Anthony Italian Festival is a joint venture of the SMS and Runseyville Sportsmen Clubs and their auxiliaries. Join us every Labor Day Weekend at the SMS Field on Ovid Street in Seneca Falls. No word on whether the event will be rescheduled for later in September or cancelled for this year completely.
