The low pressure system that brought heavy rain and thunder to the Finger Lakes Yesterday will impact us again today.High pressure which was over New England yesterday has shifted off the coast, allowing the low to creep eastward as well.As such, the best chance for heavy rain and thunder today will be across central and eastern New York, while some parts of western New York stay fairly dry.Showers and storms are possible at any time today. The best chance for rain will be from the mid afternoon into the early evening hours. Some storms may contain torrential downpours. However, severe weather is not anticipated. There may be a couple of left over showers on Friday, but high pressure should build in for the weekend and the first half of next week, bringing us some great weather. For the latest local forecast, conditions, and live radar images visit the FingerLakes1.com Local Weather Center.
