Bassmasters comes to Cayuga Lake next week

108 Bassmaster Elite Series pros will be heading to Union Springs on Cayuga Lake, one of New York’s famous Finger Lakes, August 21-24 for the A.R.E. Truck Caps Bassmaster Elite series. At Cayuga Lake, the final of eight full-field events this season, each Elite series pro has a shot at a first-place prize of $100,000 and an automatic qualification for the 2015 Bassmaster Classic. Cayuga Lake is a first-time stop for the Elite Series and the deep glacial lake (up to 435 feet) is great habitat for largemouth bass, which will be the target species for the anglers.Fishing fans are invited to the free-admission Bassmasters event to see takeoffs and weigh-ins at Frontenac Park, 26 Chapel Street, Union Springs, NY.
