Ovid man arrested for DWAI after accident

On Aug 4 2014 at approx 11:10pm the Seneca County Sheriffs Office arrested Timothy J. Haire Jr, age 31 of 4004 Sheldrake Pl, Ovid NY for Driving While Ability Impaired ( Alcohol ). Sheriff’s Deputies report that the arrest stems from a personal injury property damage accident that occurred on the 22nd of June 2014. At approximately 12:06am on the 22nd of June, Sheriffs Deputies responded to the area of County Road 139 in the Town of Ovid for a motor cycle accident. Haire was transported by ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center where he was treated for broken extremities. The investigation determined that Haire was heading west bound on County Road 139 at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck a road sign. Haire was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired ( Alcohol ) and was also charged with, Speed not Reasonable and Prudent, Failure to Maintain Designated Lane, and Driving o n the Shoulder of the Road. Haire is to appear in the Ovid Town Court on the 26th of August 2014 at 10.00am
