44 year old Elizabeth Hand of Penn Yan and 46 year old Beth Rumsey of Rock Stream were arrested and charged with Issuing a bad check stemming from separate incidents. Rumsy uttered a check to Morgans Grocery on 5/17/14 in the amount of $49.88 that was returned as not payable due to insufficient funds; Hand uttered a check to Morgans Grocery on 5/26/14 in the amount of $43.21 that was also returned as not payable due to insufficient funds. Both were issued appearance tickets to appear at a later date in Penn Yan Village Court.
