4-H Fishing Day on Friday – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Calling All Fishing Enthusiasts or All Wanna-Be-Fishing-Enthusiasts!Barb and Al McGuffie will be leading this event, starting at 10:00 AM in the Yates County Building Auditorium (417 LIBERTY STREET PENN YAN, NY). Participants will start at the very beginning, “Why go fishing?,” then learn the basics of equipment, safety, and identification of different fish. After practicing casting out lines, participants will eat lunch (bring your own!) and then head to a pond in Dundee to do some fishing of their own. If successful, the fish will be prepared and participants will have a taste of something really fresh and delicious before returning to the Yates County Building by 5 pm.The cost is $8.00 per 4-H member or $18.00 for a non 4-H’er (which includes enrollment in 4-H).
