One hurt in Ovid accident

On 07-16-14 at 4:48 pm, Seneca County Sheriffs Deputies investigated two car personal injury accident that occurred on Rt 96A just south of the village of Ovid.A vehicle driven by Jerald J Hayward age 47 of 4120 Seneca Rd Hector NY was North on Rt 96A when a south bound vehicle driven by Tracy A Shaw age 56 of 2233 Ovid Lodi Townline Rd. crossed the center yellow line and struck Hayward’s vehicle.A passenger in Haywards vehicle Lois E Hayward age 43 of the same address received some cuts and glass in her eye and was taken by South Seneca Ambulance to Cayuga medical center for treatment. Shaw was issued a summons for failure to keep right and will appear in Ovid Court on a later date. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
