Vendors from the Geneva Farmer’s Market will be present at the registration site at the Geneva General Childcare Center for the Cubby Chase 10K/5K Race on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Crafts, produce, and an El Morrows food truck will located at the Geneva General Hospital for participants and spectators to enjoy. “I think that the vendors are going to be very happy, because there is going to be a captive audience,” said Cubby Chase organizer Kathy Ryrko. In fact, over 500 participants have signed up for the Cubby Chase, and Ryrko said she would not be surprised if that number hits over 600 by the end of the pre-registration deadline on Thursday. If an interested participant is unable to register by Thursday, registration will be available on Saturday from 7-8:15 a.m. Pre-registration is $20, registering the day of the race will cost $25, and the Color Run costs $15 for participation. You can register online at www.cubbychase5k10k.org. Volunteers are still needed for the event. If you are interested in volunteering, or would like more information about the events, you can contact Kathy Ryrko at 315-787-4190 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Volunteers are needed for the water stations, to help at the food tent, with the Color Run, and for other general tasks. The proceeds from the Cubby Chase will be divided between the Geneva General Child Care Center and the Autism Center at the Ontario County ARC.
