On Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 8:09 PM the Waterloo Police Department and the Waterloo Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into the Sunoco Express Mart gas station at 136 East Main Street in the Village of Waterloo.Waterloo Police determined the driver of the vehicle Donald M. Skinner, age 58, of 393 Wagner Street Lot 100, Waterloo had pulled into a parking spot in front of the building and while attempting to park he accidentally placed his foot on the gas pedal causing the vehicle to jump the curbing, drive across the sidewalk were he crashed into the building causing extensive damage to two large windows on the front of the store.At the time of the accident two 15 year old females were walking on the sidewalk and had to jump out of the way in order from being run over by the car. One of the 15 year old girls received a small laceration to her hand from falling glass. The 15 year old female was treated by North Seneca Ambulance at the scene and was released to her parents.The store was closed for several hours while work crews cleaned up the damage and secured the hole and windows in the building.The driver of the vehicle Donald Skinner was issued a traffic citation for driving on a sidewalk and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Village Court at a later date.
