Who is Diane Draheim? A wife, mother, grandmother and Champion of those in need. For the past 7 years, Diane has been the Executive Director of the Seneca County House of Concern and has helped countless people through her leadership and caring for those in need of assistance in the county. Not only those in need of assistance feeding their families, but those in need of finding housing, needing medical care or just an understanding, supportive and caring friend and confidant who understands their needs. Why does she need your help? After all these years of assisting and caring for other people, she and her family now need your support. Diane is currently a long term patient at Strong Memorial Hospital awaiting a heart transplant which is currently her only option. It’s hard to understand why bad things happen to good people, particularly in this case. She has given her heart to so many for so long and now it’s worn out! While the family has medical insurance, expenses for co-pays, uncovered testing and procedures and even travel expenses for her family are piling up. Even once a transplant is performed, normal recovery takes from 9 months to a year. How can you help? Please mark your calendars for July 12 and plan to attend the “Assisting an Angel” Music Extravaganza at the Eagle Hotel in Lodi, New York. There will be a day of music, food, camaraderie, raffles and fun the likes of which have yet to be seen in Lodi … or Seneca County for that matter! Diane wants you to be there…. She’s “Got a Rock-N-Roll heart! (If you are interested in donating items for raffles, please feel free to contact Kristin Jennings, 304-268-4863, eaglehotel.
