On Sunday morning at about 3:30 am, the Seneca County 911 Center received a call of a fire on Hecker Road in the Town of Waterloo. The Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department was immediately dispatched to 1288 Hecker Road where the first police officer on the scene advised that a trailer on the property was on fire.No one was home at the time of the fire and the owners of the trailer are unknown at this time. No one was injured and the trailer is listed as a total loss.The fire is under investigation by the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team, the NYS Police, the NYS Office of Fire Prevention Control and the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department.Responding to the scene along with the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department was the Border City Fire Department. Tankers from the Junius Fire Department, Magee Fire Department, Fayette Fire Department, the Oaks Corners Fire Department, and the Varick Fire Department hauled water to fight the fire.Seneca Falls Fire Dpartment stood by at the fire house in Waterloo and the Geneva Fire Department stood by for Border City.
