Eric W. Mausteller,21, of Dresden, was arrested by Penn Yan Police Thursday evening after an investigation. It was determined that on 06/13/2014, Maustellar unlawfully entered a residence on Seneca St. in Penn Yan with the intention to take personal property of the resident. Maustellar took food items valued at approximately $3.00 without the consent of the owner. Maustellar was charged with Petit Larceny, and Burglary 3rd, a class D Felony. He was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash/$5,000 bond. Maustellar will reappear in Penn Yan Village court at a later date to answer to the charges.
