Residents of the Arbors Neighborhood will have the opportunity to spend a family-friendly day at McDonough Park on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. The Geneva Twins will be playing the Olean Oilers. Ticket admission is free (the ticket is located on the post card that has been distributed to residents in the neighborhood) but the neighborhood association is asking that each attendee brings a non-perishable food item to benefit the Geneva Center of Concern. After the ball game, children will have an opportunity to meet the players and get autographs, so make sure that you bring your gloves! “[Owner and President] Dave Herbst and [General Manager] John Oughterson have been so welcoming, and we thank them for this opportunity. It will be a great way for neighbors to get together for an enjoyable family event at the ballpark. We hope to make this an annual event,” said Arbors Neighborhood Association Leader Steve Muzzi. Evelyn DeVaney, Arbors resident and long-time supporter of baseball at McDonough Park will be throwing the first pitch of the game, a symbolic event that all residents are sure to enjoy. The rain date for the event is scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2014. If you have any questions about the event, or you did not receive a ticket, please contact Steve Muzzi at 315-789-7364 or at smuzzi53@gmail.com.
