Finger Lakes Rieslings and their winemakers have been quietly celebrated with regional awards, state and national recognition, but winning enduring respect for the quality of Finger Lakes wines remains a struggle.
“I’ve thought about this for a few years,” said Michael Warren Thomas, host of several radio programs featuring food, wine, gardening and tourism. “The Finger Lakes really needs a celebrity winemaker to draw a spotlight to it.
