On 06/08/14 at around 2:02 am, the Seneca Falls Police Department and Seneca Falls Fire Department responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on River Road near the Elks Lodge. On arrival, Police observed the car to be on it’s side and engulfed in flames. Witnesses on scene reported to Police that the driver of the motor vehicle along with one of the passengers fled on foot following the accident. A short time later, the driver of the vehicle was located and apprehended near the scene by Police. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the driver who was later identified as Jonathan J. Dino, age 28 of 2613 Kingdom Road, Waterloo, NY was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state with four passengers.Dino was placed into custody by Town of Seneca Falls Police and charged with the following; Speed not Reasonable and Prudent, Failure to Keep Right, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, DWI, Aggravated DWI per a BAC .18 or more, Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangerment in which the latter four charges are misdemeanors.Dino was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court and released. Dino will answer the charges on 06/18/14 at 9:00 am. None of the passengers were charged in the incident. Town of Seneca Falls Police were assisted by New York Park Police, New York State Police, Seneca County Sheriffs Department and Waterloo Police Department. Dino and his passengers were all uninjured.
