Live from the 100 block of West State Street this summer, under the iconic State Theatre of Ithaca marquee, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance is hosting the M&T Bank Summer Concert Series, Thursdays from 6 to 8pm until June 19th -September 4th along with one “Welcome Back Students Show” featuring the Sim Redmond Band September 5th. The shows are free and open to the public and the DIA invites the community to come and enjoy the fun. The 2014 Series brings a diverse range of musicians including passionate progressive funk band Mutorn Warriors, to the hip-hop and heavy bass of The Gunpoets. The series anticipates returning to the commons upon completion of the renovation project. Beverages will be available for purchase at each of the shows including regional beer and wine. Patrons can park in the Green or Seneca Street garages and walk to the series.
