Soaker last night for parts of the Finger Lakes

The rain has come and gone, but not before giving portions of the southern Finger Lakes a soaking rain. The image shown here is the radar estimated rain totals from Sunday evening to Monday morning. Widespread amounts of over an inch fell from Allegheny to Cortland Counties. The core of the heavy rain was across Steuben County, where 2-4″ of rain was common place. There was some flooding from these amounts of rain, with a number of roads closed last night. As of this writing, there are no flood warnings or advisories in effect any more.Rain will remain in the forecast for today and tomorrow, but the rain should be scattered and showery instead of heavy like last night. Temperatures will generally be in the low and mid 70s.By Wednesday, a new weather system lifting into the Great Lakes could impact us. There are a lot of details that need to be worked out with that forecast that just aren’t clear at this point.
