The entry deadline for the 2014 N.Y.S. Men’s Amateur Championship at Bellevue Country Club is one week from today; Friday, June 13 at 5:00pm. Be sure to register before then for your chance to qualify to play in New York’s Men’s Amateur Golf Championship.The entry fee to qualify for this championship is $100. All players who qualify will be charged an additional $50 championship fee for a total entry of $150.To be eligible to compete, an entrant must be a male amateur golfer who (1) is a member of an NYSGA Member Club or have joined the NYSGA as an Associate Member (state residency required for Associate Members) and (2) have an up-to-date Handicap Index of 7.4 or less. Men’s Amateur Championship since the association’s creation by its member clubs in 1923. Past champions include U.S. and British Amateur champions, Walker Cup members, PGA Tour winners, and a major champion. The championship field will consist of 152 players, the majority of whom will have advanced through sectional qualifying, and the format is 72 holes of individual stroke play.
