Applications for the Athena Geneva Award for Continuing Education (ACE) scholarship will be accepted until Friday, June 20th at 4:00 pm. Applicants are encouraged to drop off their completed application to either the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce or the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce. They may also be submitted electronically to [email protected] The scholarship is open to women ages 25 and older that are enrolled (or plan to be enrolled) in a qualified educational program by September 30, 2014, and, who live in eastern Ontario, Seneca or Yates counties. Qualified educational programs may include: formal higher education (college degree) programs or any certification or training program (including a GED) that is necessary for the recipient to advance in her career or pursue a stated career goal. The Athena Geneva ACE committee will award up to $2500 in scholarship assistance. The recipient(s) will be announced in July and official recognition will conclude with a presentation at the ATHENA Geneva Award dinner in September, 2014.The ATHENA Geneva Award for Continuing Education (ACE) supports women developing their capacity for leadership in our community by pursuing additional education.
