United Way of Cayuga Co. Announces New Board

The United Way of Cayuga County is pleased to welcome Allison DiMatteo and Karen Quest to the Board of Directors. Both DiMatteo and Quest will be serving a three year term.Allison DiMatteo, BA, MPS is the founder and owner of Crème della Crème Copywriting & Communication, a consulting firm in Auburn, New York, that provides writing, graphic design, public relations, and marketing services, among others. A member of the Board of Directors for the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, she was recently elected to the United Way of Cayuga County Board of Directors. A graduate of Nazareth College of Rochester with a BA in English in 1987 and Cornell University with an MPS in Communication in 1993, DiMatteo held senior copywriting and communications management positions involving integrated and multi-platform marketing campaigns, consumer education programs and publication development prior to establishing Crème della Crème in 2002. DiMatteo annually volunteers to speak to marketing classes at Cayuga Community College and is a member of the Cayuga Community College Business Administration Advisory Board (2012 to present). Earlier this year, she and her company hosted 4 teachers from the Auburn Enlarged City School District as part of their 2014 Partnership for Education & Business, and they regularly contribute their expertise and talents to community non-profits and charitable endeavors. In addition to the United Way of Cayuga County Board of Directors, DiMatteo is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce. Karen Quest, Certified Public Accountant and the Controller at New York Chiropractic College is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Quest is currently a member of the Audit Committee for the Seneca County United Way and sits on the Program Committee for the Syracuse chapter of the Eastern Association of College Business Officers. Quest is a past member of the Board of Directors of Unity House of Cayuga County, where she chaired the Finance Committee for 12 years and currently sits on the Audit Committee. A 2005 Leadership Cayuga graduate, she has also served the United Way of Cayuga County as a tax preparer for its CA$H program. Quest and her husband, Tom, live in the Town of Throop.
