Brian L. Ward Jr, 17, of 109 South Ave Penn Yan, was arrested Thursday night by Penn Yan Police after an investigation revealed that Ward had scaled a fence that had been emplaced on the pedestrian walk bridge on the Outlet trail behind Birkett’s Mill, in the early morning hours of the 17th of May. The bridge was fenced off and restricted by the Village of Penn Yan due to high water and debris from the recent flood. Ward was charged with Criminal Trespass in the 3rd degree a class B misdemeanor and Village ordnance Curfew Violation. Ward was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Village Court on a later date.
