Area school budgets pass after Tuesday vote

Local school districts asked voters to approve budgets and other ballot initiatives Tuesday. Prominent issues among school board candidates across the state this year are Common Core standards, teacher evaluations and charter schools. The polls closed at 9 pm Tuesday and as ballots were counted, all Finger Lakes area districts approved their district’s budget.
