Seneca Falls Police Beat for 5/20

On 05/14/2014 at approx. 8:44PM, the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Joshua S. Moriarity, age 22 of 25 Peterman Road Apartment D7 Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Moriarity, who is a New York State Level II Registered Sex Offender, was charged with a Class E Felony under the NYS Corrections Law for Failing to Report Change of Address within 10 Days. This arrest stems from an investigation where officers learned that Moriarity allegedly moved from a previous residence in the Town of Seneca Falls to the above-mentioned apartment. Moriarity was arraigned in front of Judge Lafler at the Town of Seneca Falls Court where he was then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 ins bond. A Felony Hearing is scheduled for Moriarity on 05/19/2014 at 6:00PM in front of Judge Laquidari at the Town of Seneca Falls Court. On 05/16/2014 at approx. 1:20AM, the Seneca Falls Police arrested James P. Crossno, age 25 of 56 West Street Geneva, NY 14456. Crossno was stopped by police on a traffic stop on SR 5&20 where officers allegedly observed a vehicle which was being operated by Crossno, drive down the middle of both north and south eastbound lanes. Officer’s then administered field sobriety tests to Crossno which he then allegedly failed. Police then charged Crossno with Driving While Intoxicated and Failing to Use a Designated Lane. Crossno was then arraigned in front of Judge Lafler at the Town of Seneca Falls Court where he was then ROR’d. Crossno has to return back to the Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Lafler on 06/18/2014 at 10:00AM. On 05/19/2014 at approx. 10:02PM, the Seneca Falls Police arrested Matthew J. Norsen, age 41 of 26 Daniels Street Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Norsen was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. These charges stem from when officers were called to the residence for a domestic dispute where allegedly, Norsen grabbed and pulled the hair of the protected party during an altercation. This alleged act caused Norsen to be in violation of the existing Class B Order of Protection which was already in place. Norsen was then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Laquidari where he was then ROR’d. Norsen has to return back to the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Laquidari on 07/10/2014 at 6:00PM.
