Calm & Cool this weekend in the FLX

The cold front that brought us more flooding rains yesterday has pushed well off to our east.In its place, well below average temperatures have moved in. While it is not pleasant for a May Saturday, I think we can all agree that it is better than what we have had in the last week. There will be some showers that pop up this afternoon as a disturbance moves by. Most of these showers will be contained to the southern half of the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier and northern Pennsylvania.None of the rain from these showers should be heavy or widespread. Any individual shower should be relatively short lived, but numerous showers could impact any given location. Some additional showers may be possible on Sunday afternoon, but they will again be scattered with minimal rain accumulation. Temperatures will gradually warm up as we head towards the early part of next week. We should stay just warm enough overnight to avoid any frost, but it you have a plant you really care about, go ahead and protect it, just in case.
