The Waterloo Police Department investigated a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Tuesday evening at 5:01 pm, at the intersection of Swift Street and East Elizabeth Street in the Village of Waterloo.Jessica A. Minguez, age 20, of West River Road in Waterloo, was traveling south on Swift Street, then turned west on East Elizabeth Street. Minguez made the turn too wide and moved into the east bound lane of East Elizabeth Street, striking another vehicle head on. The other vehicle was operated by James Cleere, age 39, of Mill Street in Waterloo, who was traveling east on East Elizabeth Street.Minguez sustained facial and lower leg injuries during the accident and was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance. Cleere was not injured in the accident. Officers were also assisted at the scene by the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department.
