On Thursday, Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators reported the arrests of five persons on charges relating to welfare fraud in Seneca County.Between May 6 and 8, 2014 the following were persons were arrested:Sherri K. Darling, age 36, of 327 E. Main Street Apt. 1, Waterloo, NY, charged with Offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, a class E Felony, Delores J. Morgan, age 45, of 133 State Street Seneca Falls, NY, charged with Welfare fraud fourth degree, a class E Felony, Janet L. Summers, age 43 of 60 Bridge Street Seneca Falls, NY, charged with Welfare fraud fourth degree, a class E Felony. Rachelle S. Murphy, age 32 of 1470 State Route 336 Lot 10 Waterloo, NY, charged with Offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, a class E Felony and Welfare fraud 4th, a class E FelonyDawn M. Howe, age 40 of 2146 State Route 5 & 20 Apt. 2 Seneca Falls, NY, charged with Welfare fraud 4th, a class E Felony.All suspects were arraigned in the Village of Waterloo court where they were all released to appear in Village court at a later date. These arrests are the result of a continuing investigation by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and Seneca County Department of Social Services to combat welfare fraud in Seneca County. Additional arrests are pending.
