On Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 pm, Penn Yan Village Police charged Laurel J. Whitbeck, age 57 of Clinton Street in Penn Yan, with issuing a bad check, a NYC Class B Misdemeanor.Whitbeck was issued a summons after she issued a check to Pinckney Hardware in the amount of $151.20 on an account with insufficient funds.Whitbeck will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
