Following his ejection Wednesday night for having pine tar on his neck, Yankees pitched Michael Pineda talked about the situation, admitting to the media that he put the substance on himself so he could get a better feel for the ball.The YES broadcast team discussed the ramifications of Pineda’s actions after the game and speculated what this could mean going forward…Joe Girardi told the media that he was unaware of the pine tar until the umpires checked and ejected him from the game…
