The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has arrested a Beaver Dams, NY man on charges of Welfare Fraud.William E. Hunter (age 39) of Hornby Road Beaver Dams, NY is charged with one count of Welfare Fraud in the 3rd degree (a class D Felony) for allegedly receiving public assistance benefits that he was not entitled to do to unreported income. Hunter is released on an appearance ticket and is answering the charge in the Village of Montour Falls Court.
