The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday morning just before 9:00 am, Deputies responded to a mobile home fire at 1731 Blue Sky Road in Waterloo. The residence is owned by Nancy A. Snyder, age 52 of the same address.Upon investigation the apparent cause of the fire was a faulty fireplace.All occupants, Elizabeth M. Snyder,27; Jessica A. Ordway, 30; Eddie L. Branch Jr., 36 and Landon J. Thompson, 5 all of the incident address escaped the fire without injury. Two other children Dominick B. Damick, 8, and Christopher D. Damick, 5 both of 7 North St. , Geneva Apt.1 also were uninjured.The structure and contents which are uninsured are believed to be a total loss.The American Red Cross assisted the family at the scene. Border City Fire Department was assisted by fire companies from Waterloo, Geneva, Oaks Corners, Varick, Magee and Junius. North Seneca also assisted.
