Ovid man nets more charges after DWI in Covert

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday at 2:00 am, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Gregory A Whitley, age 24 of State Route 96 in Ovid on Kelly’s Corners Road in the Town of Covert. Whitley was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with .08% of 1% or more and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 2nd degree.Whitley was arraigned in the Town of Ovid Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $250 cash bail $500 secured bond and is to reappear in the Town of Covert Court on April 7th 2014 to answer the charges.While Whitley was being arraigned on the above charges, it was determined Whitley had a Bench W arrant for Failure to Pay Fines out of the Town of Ovid Court stemming from original charges of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Fictitious Inspection Certificate.Whitley was arraigned and released on his own recognizance and is to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on April 2nd 2014 to answer the charges.
