Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff’s Deputies will be conducting a child safety seat check on Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Ovid Fire Department .The event will run from 9 AM to approximately 2 PM. The Ovid Fire Department is located at 2136 Brown St. in the Village of Ovid just off of N. Main St.Sheriff’s Deputies will inspect car seats for proper fit and installation during this event, if the car seat does not pass inspection a new car seat will be provided and fitted to the child as well as installed properly in the vehicle. Anyone wishing to sign up in advance can call and leave a message with Investigator Chris Felice at 315 220-3445.
