Lyons village residents went to the polls last Tuesday to vote for a second time on whether to dissolve the village. Spencer Tullis of the Finger Lakes Times was covering the vote and managed to take only a few photos before an election official told him he was not allowed to be there. According to the official, no media personnel were permitted inside. When reminding the officials that the Finger Lakes Times has been critical in the past regarding their handling of the media, the response was, “Maybe that’s why you are not allowed in.”The FL Times published more on this incident on their website on Tuesday morning.
