Yesterday, we had plenty of sunshine, but it was still quite cool. In fact, a few places set record lows in the morning, and almost everyone was about 15º too cold in the afternoon. High pressure is shifting to the east and winds are turning more southerly today, so we will have sun and warmer temperatures. That is not to say we will get back to normal. Most areas will still fall short of the mid and upper 40s that are considered normal for the middle of March. However, low 40s are likely. I think most of us will be ok with only 5º below normal. With the sun, it will probably feel quite pleasant out and what snow is left will continue to melt away.A storm system over the Great Plains will track towards the Great Lakes tomorrow. This will mean an increase in clouds and some afternoon rain showers on Wednesday. High temperatures will be just a couple degrees cooler than today, but as they fall into the 30s during the evening, some wet snow may mix with the rain.Rain showers will continue overnight and into Thursday, again mixing with some wet snow later on Thursday as temperatures drop. None of this precipitation is expected to be heavy.Take a peek out a bit further, Friday looks pleasant and not too different from today, except there will be a few more clouds and temperatures will be a couple degrees lower. Saturday, however, we have a chance for a couple inches of snow, followed by a cold front on Sunday that will set up another very cold week next week.
