A weak cold front came through yesterday and is being replaced by high pressure, which is building in from the southwest. This little bubble of high pressure will keep the weather pretty calm today with partly cloudy skies and just a few flakes of snow early this morning.Temperatures will not be as warm today, with highs topping out mostly in the low 30s. Still, with what we have had recently, that does not seem too bad, especially with the sun.Overnight, low pressure, which is currently in central Canada, will move into the region. The warm front with this low will pass through our region during the morning tomorrow. Ahead of the front, some light snow will break out after midnight tonight and continue into the morning commute. Accumulations of an inch or so will be possible with this snow, and the morning commute may be just a touch slick. Then, as the warm front passes through, temperatures will begin to climb through the 30s. Any snow will change over to rain, but I only expect a few showers after mid morning tomorrow instead of a more widespread rain. High temperatures should top out in the low 40s.The cold front associated with this low will never make it into our region. As a result, Tuesday is looking like the nicest day we have had in a long, long time: A mix of sun and clouds with highs near 50º!However, this will just be a tease, with a rising potential for some widespread, possibly heavy snow on Wednesday. More details on that tomorrow.
