On Wednesday at about 6:30 pm, Seneca County Sheriff Office Investigators arrested Rodney W. Smith III, age 21 of Main St. in Willard for criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree and petit larceny.The charges stem from an investigation into an incident that occurred in November of 2013 when Smith cashed a forged check for $200 at a bank in the Town of Ovid.Smith was issued appearance tickets for the charges and is to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on April 29, 2014 to answer to the charges.
