Clyde-Savannah on to states with win over Perry

The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles remained undefeated, cruising into the state playoffs as Section V’s representative from Class C, with a 51-40 victory over Perry on Wednesday night at Marcus Whitman High School. Clyde-Savannah improves to 22-0 with the win while Perry’s season ends with a Section V Class C1 championship and a 21-2 record.Clyde was led by senior guard Joe Faniel’s 15 points while Michael Turner added 13 points and proved to be an “X” factor on defense and in clearing the glass for the Golden Eagles. Joemaine Bogan scored 11 points while fellow big man Kam DiSanto had 6.Perry was led by Tyler Elliot who scored 13.Clyde-Savannah now advances to the West Regional at Buffalo State. They will face the Section 6 Class C Champion at 1:45 pm on Saturday.
