On Monday at 2:00 am, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded to 2042 State Route 89 in the Town of Seneca Falls for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival officers encountered heavy smoke coming from the home.The Seneca Falls Fire Department quickly responded with assistance from the Waterloo Fire Department and the Fayette Fire Department and extinguished the fire. The Magee Fire Department and Canoga Fire Department provided coverage for the districts that were operating at the house fire.The Seneca County Fire Investigation Team was called to the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.The fire displaced three adults and five children, the American Red Cross provided temporary housing for the family.
