Last week at approximately 12:57 am on Sunday, the Seneca Falls Police Department responded to a field near 2718 Kingdom Road for a reported snowmobile accident with injuries. Seneca Falls Fire Department was also dispatched and assisted police in locating the injured female. The female, Andrea A. Osterhout, age 22, of 25 Peterman Road, Apt. E1, Seneca Falls, NY was believed to have sustained several injuries from this accident and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Osterhout collided head on with a snowmobile that was being operated by Zachary J. Herman, age 22, of 3293 Hoster Road, Seneca Falls, NY. Unsafe speed and operator inexperience are believed to be a contributing factor in this accident. Both snowmobiles were towed from the scene due to the amount of damage each sustained during this accident. Osterhourt was charged with Imprudent Speed/Operation, Operating w/o Insurance and Unregistered Snowmobile and Herman was charged with ImprudentSpeed/Operation.
