Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on January 23rd at 3:30 pm investigators arrested Nikolas P. Sinn, age 22 of 1400 W. River Rd. Waterloo. Sinn was charged with identity theft in the first degree, grand larceny in the third degree and multiple counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.Sinn’s arrest stems from an investigation into an incident where it is alleged that he had stolen a credit card belonging to a Town of Fayette resident, and used it on several different occasions between November 2013 and January 2014. The card was used to make many different purchases ranging from miscellaneous items at different area businesses to online purchases as well.After his arrest, Sinn was arraigned on the charges before the Town of Fayette Court at which time an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.Nikolas Sinn was released on his own recognizance and ordered to re-appear before the court on February 5th 2014 at 7:00 pm.
