Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Robert J. Doane, age 46, of Main Street in Willard, on January 31st in the Town of Romulus and charged him with bigamy, a class E Felony, and offering a false statement for filing, a class E Felony.The charges stem from Doane filing a marriage license with the Ovid Town clerk on February 12, 2010 and failing to list his current marriage on the license. Doane then was married on February 13, 2010 in the Town of Ovid while already being married.Doane was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Ovid court on February 11th 2014 to answer the charges.
