The Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a house fire at 2695 County Road 139 in the Town of Ovid shortly after 8:00 am on Tuesday morning. Leland Parish, age 50, of 9619 Crisfield Road in Lodi owns the house.The occupants living at the house are Kelly Parish, age 21, and Brandon Hoad, age 23. Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The house was fully engulfed in flames upon the arrival of Ovid Fire Department. Sadly, the family dog did not survive the blaze.The Fire Investigation team is investigating the cause of the fire.The property was insured, and appeared to be a total loss. Ovid Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Interlaken FD, Lodi FD, Romulus FD, Trumansburg FD, South Seneca Ambulance and the Fire Investigation team.
