Drunk Waterloo man blows stop sign, hits tree

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday at 11:56 pm, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Richard E Hussey, age 48, of Birdsey Road in Waterloo, at the intersection of ST RT 96 and North Road in the Town of Waterloo. He was charged with AUO in the first degree, Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater, DWI and failed to stop at a stop sign.It is alleged that Hussey failed to stop at the stop sign located at the three way stop. The vehicle continued through the intersection and struck a tree located on the north side of the road. Hussey was not injured in this incident.Hussey was arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond. Hussey is to reappear before the Town of Waterloo Court, Justice Folk on January 31st, 2014 to answer the charges.
