For the past several years FingerLakes1.com has presented a live webcast from the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop above Antonina’s Restaurant in Seneca Falls. Due to the frigid temperatures expected, FingerLakes1.com will be unable to deploy the necessary equipment and produce the live webcast this year.FingerLakes1.com president Jim Sinicropi says, “It is unfortunate that we won’t be able bring this great local tradition into homes of current and former residents of Seneca Falls live this year. Our equipment, cameras and microphones simply are not made to be operated for an extended period of time in single digit temperatures. We will make an effort to cover the event and have video and photos from the scene posted during the overnight hours of Wednesday morning. My wife and I and our friends do plan on being there to ring in the New Year with the McDemott family as they continue this great tradition.”Check back to FingerLakes1.com when you wake up on Wednesday morning for footage from the event.
