A very unique occurrence is happening this holiday week. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with Santa Claus or snow. The most rare holiday event will be happening on the hardwood at Arthur L. Baker Gymnasium in Seneca Falls on Friday and Saturday evenings.Old-time rivals Clyde-Savannah and Lyons will be visiting Mynderse Academy on back-to-back nights for some important boys varsity high school basketball contests.On Friday night at 7:30 pm, the C-S Golden Eagles bring their unblemished 8-0 record to Seneca Falls to face the Blue Devils in a rematch of a game that Mynderse lost in Clyde back on November 30th. The two teams also met in the Section V Class C State Qualifying Tournament in Waterloo last February in a game Mynderse won.On Saturday night, Lyons visits Mynderse for the first time since the late 1980’s to take on the Blue Devils in a rematch of last year’s Section V Class C State Qualifying Game which Mynderse won at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester. Gametime in Seneca Falls is set for 5:30 pm.Both of these contests will be broadast LIVE online by FingerLakes1.com Sports on FingerLakes1.TV and YouTube.
