Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for parts of the Finger Lakes for a quick moving snow event tonight.A storm system will move northeast along a cold front that is stalled out across Pennsylvania and New England. This is the front that moved through last night and brought and end to our mild weather. As this low moves towards us, it will spread a batch of snow into the Finger Lakes during the evening hours. Some of this snow may come down hard at times, but it should only last a few hours. By Midnight, we should only be left with flurries in the area.Due to the brief duration of this snow event, and the fact that the heaviest precipitation will be well to the southeast of the Finger Lakes, accumulations should be fairly minor. The best chance for3 or more inches will be over the higher elevations.By Saturday morning, we should be seeing some sun, which will last into Sunday. Temperatures this weekend will be a bit cooler, with highs both days near 30º.
